Tony Memmel and Band at TSMU

At the invitation of the US Embassy in Georgia, a disabled musician and composer Tony Memmel will visit Georgia together with his band and will perform the first public concert at Tbilisi State Medical University. Tony Memmel has a diploma of musician in vocal course, he is a singer, songwriter and composer. 

Tony was born missing his left forearm, but he made great effort to teach himself to play the guitar. Today Tony is the leading guitar player of the band (composed of three persons). Besides, he is also a speaker and works for a various therapeutic programs where he teaches the audience how to overcome the obstacles. 

Within the “Arts Envoy Program” sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, which brings American musicians to countries throughout the world, he visited the following countries:  Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and so on. It has come time for Georgia.

Within the frames of the visit the meeting and concert will be held on 15th of April at 3pm, at the Theater Hall of Tbilisi State Medical University.
