Solemn Events' PROGRAMME
17 September
09:00 – The first semester students start gathering in the yard of the study buildings of Tbilisi State Medical University.
In the yard of study buildings each student will be given:
• TSMU Campus Guide
• Medical Newspaper
• Timetable
10:00 – 11:00 – The official event dedicated to the 2018/2019 academic year will be a grand opening, with the Georgian national anthem.
Welcome speeches for the beginning of the new 2018-2019 academic year will be delivered by: Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, representatives of legislative and executive authorities of Georgia, invited Professors from various leading universities of the world, honorary doctors of the Tbilisi State Medical University.
Award ceremony:
TSMU’s student self-government will award 10 top-ranking freshmen (according to the results of United National Exams) with textbooks and memorable presents decorated with university symbols.
