On July 30, 2014, famous Turkish cardiologist and cardio-surgeon Ismet Dindar (of Georgian origin, Mikeladze), Head of Cardiology Department of Istanbul Maltepe University Clinic "Marmara" (Turkey) and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Turkey visited Tbilisi State Medical University.

The visitors were met by: Professor ZurabVadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Zurab Ordzhonikidze TSMU Chancellor and Associate Professor Ivane Chkhaidze, TSMU Department of Pediatrics.

According to TSMU  Rector, our university is cooperating with different Universities of Turkey, successfully implementing exchange programs with them. Dr. Ismet Dindar expressed his hope that this friendship and business relationships will be deepened in the future. He had a new proposal and desire to develop further cooperation. Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria and Zurab Orjonikidze  expressed readiness for further cooperation and assistance in the field of education.
