The event dedicated to spreading seasonal flu virus - "Know more about influenza (flu)", organized and initiated by Tbilisi State Medical University, was held on Rustaveli Avenue. The goal of the action was to provide necessary information on preventive measures.

At the event appropriate instructions and recommendations on the mentioned issues:  how to identify, what to do, how to avoid the virus and who might belong to the highest risk groups, were presented to the participants.

TSMU students distributed informational fliers, major defensive means for preventing flu virus, masks and hand disinfectants.

"In addition to preparing medical professionals, one of the main functions of Tbilisi State Medical University is education of the communities on health care activities. Within the framework of this mission, today TSMU organized an event - "Know more about Flu". This action will serve the passion characteristic for seasonal flu. We are trying to provide the population with information on: how to prevent spread of the flu - said Mikheil Diakonidze, Head of TSMU Students and Alumni Relations Office.
