On May 3, 2019, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, the Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Khatuna Todadze, Vice Rector of TSMU, and Professor Tinatin Chikovani, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of TSMU, met MD Manan Kvezereli, TSMU graduate and the Medical Director of the Company “CellMaxLife” (California, USA). MD.

Kvezereli, successful alumni of Tbilisi State Medical University started her career with Prof. Tinatin Chikovani as the 3rd year student at Vladimir Bakhutashvili Institute of Medical Biotechnology.  MD. Kvezereli was actively involved in research and extracurricular activities, participated in various international scientific conferences and gained several research funding.

MD. Kvezereli worked as a researcher in Czech Republic, became a member of research group at Stanford University and later continued studying at the University of California in the field of laboratory medicine. Nowadays she is a Medical Director of the Cancer Diagnostic Company “CellMaxLife” (California, USA). Although MD. Kvezereli has been working in the USA for a long period still has never lost ties with Tbilisi State Medical University. Prof. Tinatin Chikovani noted: "MD. Kvezereli has always been trying to share her own experience and cooperate with TSMU students. An innovative web-platform providing society with information about newly approved medicine was created in Georgian and English languages by the TSMU students under her supervision. 

MD Kvezereli has also elaborated a new elective program - "Diagnostics for Personalized Medicine” at Tbilisi State Medical University and participates in the 6th International Conference about “Immune-monitoring in Cancer Immunotherapy.” Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria thanked MD. Kvezereli for the visit and interesting initiatives and noted that the university will actively support them.
