Tony Memmel Gave a Concert at Ken Walker Medical University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation, Batumi

On April 19, 2019, after the concert at the Tbilisi State Medical University, American musician Tony Memmel performed it for the patients of Ken Walker Medical University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation in Batumi. The musician talked to the patients and their parents about his life and the way he could achieve the goal.

Tony Memmel has a diploma of musician in the vocal field, she writes and performs the songs. Tony was born without a left forearm and hand but with great effort and effort, he dreamed of dreaming and learned to play the guitar. Today Tony is the lead guitar player of the three-band. In addition, he is also a speaker in a variety of therapeutic programs that teach the audience how to overcome obstacles.

Tony Meemel (musician, composer): "I am here by the invitation of the US Embassy to Georgia, I conduct the concerts in different cities throughout the country.Today my key-message is that there is no such thing as “limited abilities”. Tony Memmel visited Georgia together with his band at the invitation of the US Embassy to Georgia. The concert performed by the band at Ken Walker Medical University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation has been greatly appreciated.

This time, on the invitation of the US Embassy in Georgia he held a concert at Tbilisi State Medical University, after which he arrived in Batumi to give the concert for the patients. Tony is a living example that there is no such thing as “limited abilities”.

At the end of the concert Tony Memmel and his band musicians took memorable photos with patients and staff of Ken Walker Medical University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation.  In November 2018, Ken Walker Medical University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation was open in Batumi (#8 Bako street). The clinic is equipped with high-tech rehabilitation equipment. The staff of the center is composed with the local specialists trained within the program - "Physical Rehabilitation Project": Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist and etc. “Ken Walker Medical University Clinic For Medical Rehabilitation” is supported by USAID’s project "Physical Rehabilitation in Georgia", Emory university School of Medicine, Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) and Corporation `Partners For International Development` (PFID).
