Visit of TSMU Delegation to Romania

On December 10-14, 2018, TSMU delegation: Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU,  Prof. Khatuna Todadze- Vice Rector,  Associate Professor  Irakli Kokhreidze - Vice Rector and Irina Kapetivadze Head of the Rector's Office visited University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Targu Mures, Romania. By invitation of the Rector of University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Targu Mures, Romania, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria attended the annual university event - "University Days"; members of TSMU delegation were invited to the First International Conference "Innovations in Health Care and Personalized Medicine", where Professor Zurab Vadachkoria delivered a speech. Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze made a presentation at the Conference.  Within the frames of the visit, the delegation members met with the representatives of administrator staff, Vice Rectors on Science and Education, Deans of Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and ERASMUS+ Coordinator for the Programs of the Faculties of Pharmacy and Stomatology at University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Targu Mures. Within the frames of ERASMUS + Programme, Tbilisi State Medical University and University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Targu Mures signed an agreement for the Faculties of Dentistry and Pharmacy, which was signed by Professors Zurab Vadachkoria and Professor Leonard Azamfirei.  Under this agreement, from September 2019, 4 students and 4 representatives of Academic Staff of the Faculty of Dentistry, and 4-4 representatives of academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy will have the opportunity to participate in ERASMUS+ mobility programme at University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Targu Mures. To the end of the visit a festive gala-event was held where Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU was awarded an Honorary Diploma and medal for significant contribution to the development of international relations. The TSMU representatives handed a glass decorative panel of  Targu Murasche Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technologies University – painted by Georgian  artist that became the object of admiration of Professor Leonard Azamfirei, Rector of the University. “We do hope that this visit will provide the basis for more fruitful cooperation and open the way for our students and academic personnel to get international experience" said TSMU delegation members.
