ფიზიკური მედიცინის და რეაბილიტაციის ფაკულტეტმა  კამპანიას - დაინახე ყველაფერი - უმასპინძლა

The Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Tbilisi State Medical University hosted the anti-stigma campaign – “See everything”. Meeting with students was organized by Professor Lela Maskhulia Dean of the Faculty.

Ms. Maguli Shaghashvili, UNICEF Representative, talked about the stereotypes and stigmas against people with disabilities in Georgian society including the challenges related to this issue, the necessity of campaign and the goals of the campaign. The students shared their attitudes and opinions on the issue. Ms. Maia Shishniashvili, mother of the disabled child talked about her own experience. She said with regret that the problem is still very actual and expressed hope that future generations will learn how to better communicate with disabled persons.

At the meeting, campaign organizers presented short films reflecting the experiences of young people towards the persons with disabilities and changes of their attitude after experience. Here, you can see one of the video.



The campaign –“ See everything”, initiated by United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund and supported by the European Union and the United States Agency for International Development as well as with active participation of children with disabilities and their parents, has been implemented for the last 2 years, and the activities planned within the campaign covered the whole Georgia. It aims to change public attitudes and behavior towards the persons with disabilities and disseminate information them.
