On June 5, 2019 a memorial evening dedicated to the Georgian Scientist Gaioz Vasadze was organized at Tbilisi State Medical University. The author of the idea Emeritus Alexander Tsabadze opened the event and reminded colleagues the work of the scientist. A film about life and work of Dr. Vasadze was shown to the audience. 

Professor Vasadze was the founder of Medical Informatics and Cybernetics, Deputy Head of Medical Cybernetics and the Director of the Research Institute of Medical Informatics. Under his leadership a new Medical Informatics and Cybernetics Department was established at TSMU. Prof. Vasadze cooperated with the scientists from Humboldt University (Berlin) and led several joint scientific projects. Prof. Vasadze was a founder of Georgian Academy of Medical Sciences, Head of expert council and the President of Medical Informatics and Cybernetics. Dr. Vasadze was the author of six monograph and more than 340 scientific articles. He was awarded with medals and honorable certificates for his work.
