On November 24, 2018, the Conference on "New Directions and Treatment Approaches in Clinical Medicine", initiated and organized by  the First University Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University, was held at the hotel "Tiflis Palace". 

The event was officially opened and welcomed by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, who spoke about the importance and necessity of the conference.

In the conference participated the representatives of the following directions of the First University Clinic: Oncology; Urology; General surgery, Proctology; Radiology and Ultrasound diagnostics; Neurology, Internal Medicine; Laboratory, Allergology, Neurosurgery; Reanimation; Anesthesiology; Vascular Surgery and Traumatology. Within the frames of the meeting have been discussed: interesting clinical cases, performed surgeries, new therapeutic and clinical strategies and their importance for the future of medicine.

At the end of the event, the question-answer session between the speakers and the audience  was arranged after which participants were awarded the certificates. According to the organizers of the conference, such meetings will become a tradition and will be held annually
