The Conference – “E - Healthcare – Prospects of Sleep Disorders and Epilepsy Management”

On October 26, 2018, within the framework of the grant project of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Conference – “E - Healthcare – Prospects of Sleep Disorders  and Epilepsy Management” was held at Tbilisi State Medical University. In the conference participated: Neurologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, representatives of healthcare organizations.  The event was officially opened and the guests were welcomed by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University.

Welcome speeches were also provided by  TSMU Professor Natela Okujava,  Head of Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders Center and Professor Jean-Willem Bardsley,   Epilepsy Institute of the Netherlands.

The first presentation on “Electronic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy of Insomnia and Automatic Processing of EEG data - Where We Are and Where do We Go"”  and the presentation of the first Georgian software of  Electronic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy of Insomnia were made by Prof. Natela Okujava. Internationally recognized experts of the field  delivered the lectures as well:

·    “Modern Principles of Epilepsy”  - Prof. Martin J. Brodie, Head of Epilepsy International Office   (Great Britain);


·  “E-Technologies in Clinical Psychology”  - Prof. Annemieke Van Straten , Professor of Psychology, Amsterdam University (Holland);


·   "Sleep Disorders and Management Principles" - Professor Al De Verdi, Epilepsy Institute (Holland);


· “ENCEVIS – Innovative Program of Automatic Detecting EEG Patterns "- Professor Tilmann Kluge of AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Vienna (Austria);


·   “ENCEVIS – our Experience”- Aleksandre Tsereteli, S. Khechinashvili University Hospital; Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders Treatment Center (Georgia).


At the end of the Conference question-answer session was arranged.
