On September 12, 2018 First International Symposium “Nutrition and Health  – Modern Trends” was organized by Georgian nutritionists, dietologists and experts in food sciences at Tbilisi State Medical University. The symposium was supported by the British Nutrition Foundation. The event was opened by Dr. Manana Stanly, British Certified Doctor and Nutritionist, Natalia Kakabadze, Founder of G. Natadze Sanitation, Hygiene and Medical Ecology Scientific-Research Institute, Prof. Rima Beriashvili, TSMU Vice Rector and Prof. Rema Gvamichava, Head of TSMU Oncology Department. British professors James Forn, Bernard Corfe and John Maters participated in the conference and presented their reports about the modern trends in healthy diet and nutrition.
